k, my girlfriend got a cd player to put into her 02' sunfire. i found the forum that tells what i will need to install it (trailblazer wiring harness, etc.) , but she wont have the door chimes and for some reason she likes it...a month or so ago i seen the door chime kit at walmart for around $30. i was wondering if i still have the right harness or do i need something different now? she's been on me to get this done for the last couple of months so im trying to be a good bf and do it and do it right and the way she wants it. any help?
Thanks!
Jarred
tell her door chimes are gay and she is blessed that they are gone.... i wish i didn't have those damn chimes
OR unless your like me and you have drained the battery, and ended up having to get out of bed @ 5:30 to jump a ded cav with 14 inches of snow.....the chimes would have been nice.
Im pretty sure you need the walmart harness to use the walmart chime.......not positive tho.
I have a chime box, but it was in the car when i got it. It doesn't work when the lights are on, it just beeps when i take the key out. I trained myself to check when i hear the bell
the proper (and expensive) thing to do is what metra calls GMOS, dont know what it stands for and dont care, basicaly modern gms dont have an accesory power wire going to the radio, what they have is a data cable. what the gmos does is it converts that data signal into the power cable that is needed. the data cable also contains your door chimes and that stuff. most people say the hell with the chimes because that GMOS harness costs about 100. i have heard people say it is unsafe to not use the gmos because of airbag info goin through the data wire but i have never heard anything more than that. that particular car needs the met gmos01 and things like trailblazers or any gm with a factory amp need met gmos04 even newer gms need the gmoslan01 or the gmoslan04 and that costs 250
the airbag myth is bs btw.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
