I have a Python 871XP Keyless entry remote starter and alarm on my cavalier. I was wondering if there is anyway that when the siren chirps or goes off that I can have the horn go off as well? The siren isn't loud enough. I can barely hear it go off in my driveway when I'm in my house.

You could run a relay and buy another siren. That's what I plan on doing.

in my old car i had 2 sirens under the hood, one under the dash and one in the arm rest
even if no one was around you couldn't sit in the can for more then a min to get anything
i beleive you can run up to 5 sirens off the alarm feed. no need for relays. i have 2 hooked up right now. its prety loud. i still wanna add one more.
Ya, I have 2 as well, the one that came with it, and a mini piezo under the dash. The alarm should have a negative trigger built in specifically for the horn as well.
yeah i would add another siren the alarm

since we're on an alarm topic, why would the installer cut the wires for
1-decreasing the volume 6Db
2-emilinating tones 3 through6
Ok, and can I just add another horn to a VIPER? using the power Wire?
Because i can barley hear it in the house...
And i LOVE that idea of a horn in the armrest...brilliant...you are my new hero...

The siren sounds cool but I am still curious if I can hook the horn up with the alarm and if so how I would do it.

yes you can the alarm will have a horn output wire. you just have to find the horn trigger wire and tap into it.

1. decrease the chirp volume (arm/disarm) by 6db
and 2. tones 3-6 are just plain annoying, their not a deterrent they sound like a poor music recording, IMO tones 1-3 are far far better!!!
watch for flying sparks!!!
i put one of those mini ones in my air vents just far enough back so that you cant really see them so if somebody ever tried to jack anything from my car they would go deaf, if you are serious about your cars security dei makes a battery back up for all of their alarms so if your thief decides it is easy to disconnect the battery while "shopping" the alarm will still blaring at him. it uses diodes so the power doesnt feed back into the system and it is said to last l 2-3 hours.of one siren
