Ok, i've been having problems with my amp for a while, i keep blowing fuses whenever i turn them up gain is like a mm above 0 bass is on 0 and the sub output is on 0, whenever they go up past 27(out of 35) it blows a fuse, i've got a Kenwood kac x812D amp and 2 alpine type r (4ohm) subs the subs are wired to 8ohms each and i'm running 4 gauge wire. Whenever i look at the volt gauge right before it blew a fuse it would be somewhere below 11v so i added another bettery today and now the voltage fluxuates a l lot but never goes down past 13 yet i still am blowing fuses. i've got the batteries wired as follows, 4 gauge from first battery to second battery positive terminal 4 gauge wire from second battery ground to the chassis 4gauge wire going from positive of the second battery to the amp, then 4 gauge wire going from the ground terminal to the amp.
if someone would't mind helping me out i'd be greatly appreciated

How do you have the amplifier grounded?
If you have a poor ground, its like a marathon runner, running while breathing through a straw, it can do it for a while, but eventually dies.

The low voltage wasn't the cause of the problem, it was a symptom. You're blowing fuses because your amp is drawing high current. Drawing high currents will cause the voltage to drop because of the resistance of your power wiring (voltage drop = current x resistance).
You need to find out what's wrong with the amplifier, speakers or speaker wiring.
I had it grounded to where my Amp was grounded. inside the spare tire well (sanded it down first) How would i be able to figure out whats wrong with the amp? just try different subs to see if its the wiring? i can't think of any other ways...
thanks.
