no install kit in most situations. Ive seen people use the metal mounting brackets and make them work by trial and error.

As for the 95-99.....ive seen center consoles glassed to accomodate and relocate the HVAC.

well see, what im planning is getting a 00+ dash and bezel and doing exactly what this guy did, if you look closely you can see it looks like he used an install kit, its plastic anyways, dont know if its custom or what not but i love the way it was done, its PERFECT.

just dont know how to hook up the speakers, like if you just splice into the harness that comes with one, and maybe somehow put a switch between all the wires or something, or... idk.

your asking for headahces.. i wanted to do it, but realized that its too complicated to have them work at the same time.. only unless your going to runni an whole other set of fours speakers!

whats wrong with running a single switch? you could run all for speakers through it, which would be a PITA, but it IS possible. hell, you may not even need a switch, ive never tried to hook up 2 decks before like that, i dont think it would be too hard honestly.

another thing that would work is to get one of those signal wire splitters from like radio shack and one u want to run either unit, just switch it over, but that of course would have to require the use of an amp running all your speakers-which im planning on anyways.

Metra 99-2003 dashkit allows for the option of installer two single DIN decks.

As for the sound, run the outputs from one to the inputs of the other.

I was just gonna say... hahaha. Im guessing that the navi/dvd deck has the outputs going into the inputs from the lower unit, then the lower unit is set to aux when playing anything from the lower unit.

If the top unit is only a screen then the lower unit plays and has all settings.

heres my dash bezel while i was working on it, and after it was installed unpainted ...the HVAC was relocated to the glove box...and the ps2 is under the airbag cover...

anyhow not the best pics, but just and idea of molding tvs and stuff into he dash bezel.....hooking up the other parts are fairly easy and most cd player/ tv units will come with instructions... good luck on whatever you do!!

the fitment isnt bad.. the functionality, i have never run 2 decks in one car, and dont see the point, maybe i didnt read that part? lol

But my EQ is a full din and mounted stacked like that with my HU, it fits, it works, it gets the job done... but my GOD you wouldnt even wanna know what was cut and modified inside the dash to get them to fit.. the EQ is slightly deeper than my HU, and the higher end RCA's i just switched to arent all that shallow either.... be carefull and buy a dremel!

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

maybe a deck with defeatable onboard amp and a switch for amp turn on would work to do the dual audio sources. your gear not responsible if you smoke it though

Just get a flip out that plays discs...what's the need for two seperate headunits? it's 2007, you can get everything you need in one piece of equipment.

I personally think a double din screen looks a lot better then any flip out.

I think Pioneer has it set up where the the DVD player/Flip-out screen can be controlled by the other "main" deck. That's what it says in my manual for my Premier DEH-P8MP anyway. I suppose it'd be useful for people that start out with only a CD player, then later decided to add DVD playback later.
