I am running about 1600 watts to my subs, and a lot of aftermarket lighting so I was wondering what is the stock alternator rated at? I have an Optima yelow top for more juice but I don't want to fry my electronics by blowing the stock alternator up.

in my 98 2.4, i got a 105 amp alternator. if u do the big 3 i think you wont have to worrie about blowing it.

i plan on doing the big 3 but i just wanna be sure you know?

you should be fine but that amp should drew 100+ amps by it self so your going to have voltage loss.

so how many amps should i look for in a new alternator? 105 150?

your stock alternator is 105 amp's but if you do the big 3 and upgrade the battery it should work, if i was you ill look into a 180-200 amp alternator. what kind of amp is it?

2 ma audio 400 watt 2 cganels and 1 ma audio 800 watt 4 channel
