Well my Blue cav is on it's way to be a Show Car and I'm planning on doing ALOT more driving of my 03 this summer. No need to drive the Blue cav unless it is a Nice Day so I can enjoy it.

With that being said I wanteded to get a system for my Daily Driver that would sound good and give me a small taste of what I'm use to.

So I started here, a Kenwood eXcelon X-491 am /fm /cd /mp3 /wma /USB Drive Headunit with 3 sets of 4volt Rca outputs.


Now comes the good stuff. I wanted to feel at home in my DD as much as I do with my 02 without changing too much and keep the factory speaker locations.

So I went with:
JL VR650cxi coaxials for the front
JLVR690cxi coaxials for the rear
JL 300/4 in Black for the power
JL 13W6v2D4 for a good amount of bass from a single sub
JL 500/1 for it's power source
JL RCA calbes, 12AWG Speaker wire and 8AWG sub wire, JL Battery Terminalsand a JL 2AWG amp kit.


I picked the black amps to go with the Tinted windows and the CF on the Exterior of the DD, I am planning on painting the Trim ring for the 13W6 Victory Red to match the car. I am going to build a slot ported enclosure and mount it all nice and neat and try not to take up too much space.

I'll keep this thread updated as I complete the install. I need to build my box for the 2 12W7's for my blue car, then I'll build the box for the 13W6.

BTW, I got rid of my Silver amps for the Blue car, here is what is replacing them.

Ordered them directly from JL, they are discountinued now.

I dig the black JL amps, but i'll never own another one. they failed me one to many times
