I am just trying to figure out which one is better in terms of quality of sound and bass, The volfenhag( dont know the model numbers, just know they are 12") and Jl audio(once again dont know model numbers, just know they are 12", i think they are like w2 or something like that...

volfenhag is junk plain and simple. comparing these two isnt really fair at all.

although you can tune most speakers for sq those volfenhag are going to be hard to get even close to jl audio if you leave us a price range we can find you some thing better then volfenhag subs i pick up fosgate p1's and directed ex stream subs for around 37 each plus tax and shipping give us a hint on what you want to spend and will see

i know what you mean. i had a hard time giving a set away :p what your thoughts on the directed xstreams 12sx 12 inch subs i know they use to have problem with their amps but was not sure about their subs. i think their site is www.directed.com the sub listing is under products. if it was me i would just save up for the jl audio but since there are not carbon copies of me running around this must be why they make volfenhag.

i wouldnt buy a volfenhag sub.. ive had 3 amps on the other hand some of the best ive had, i currently have the 2400watt one now to my kicker comp cvr's.. works great i have one like 5 yrs old 700 watts still works damn good. Title is funny JL is about top of line but i wouldnt talk @!#$ bout volfenhag amps

how long something works doesnt nessicarily mean how good something is.

2400 watts on 2 CVR 12's? Somethings not adding up here...lol...CVR are rated at 400 RMS each

i got 2 jl12 w0 an jl 10 w3 in one box with 2500 watts to it they slame real hard n r crystal clear kid down street has 4 ma audio 12s mines still louder on all negatives wiht vol.at -20 his at -20 isnt heard his subs just fluater lol

note to self, never, ever buy a "loadrlite" trailer

I myself have owned a set of Volfenhag 12's I thought the subs themselves were quite good. I had them hooked up to a Jensen KA 5 Channel amp. All Cahnnekls on that amp are two ohm stable and that amp pushed them so hard that the reaer view mirr0or I couldn't keep on when i had my 96 cutlass supreme. On top of that Volfenhag sellf parts to Rockford for the building of there subs.
