Hey, i just bought an Autopage RS-900 and i'm getting it installed professionally, i went in and they looked it over and said it could be done, then i mentioned the actuators (searched and came to the conclusion i'd need them because i have no power locks) he said just the actuators wouldn't do anything unless you have something to power them and he said i'd need the motors.
I'm wondering if this is going to give me power locks? and if not why would i need them? Thanks a lot.

the actuators are what unlocks the door, there are no 'motors' tell the installer to stick it and find someone else, i wouldn't trust them if they don't understand that
Yeah, i didn't think it made sence either... i dont have power windows or locks... so i figured they were either for power locks or doors... the alarm comes with a glass break/shock sensor could this have anything to do with it? i'm gonna call as soon as i get another answer because its an extra $150 with the motors...

i couldn't find the edit button. but i wanted to ask this to. i was reading on different sites and i read "if your car doesn't have existing power locks or trunk, you can buy addidional actuators at $75 a door or trunk to give you keyless entry" so by the sounds of it they're going to install a keyless entry system? could this be what the motors are for?

The actuator is the "motor" it attatches to the metal rods inside that door and once they recieve current the pop open or close. They are pretty easy and common to do on a J-Body. theese off of ebay are pretty common. As you can see there are two wires and it recieves a signal from your alarm to open and close.
ebay door lock actuator
yeah... all you need is a couple actuators and relays.
I did this last week to my manual locks, you only need an actuator and a relay.... Pressing the button on the remote will act as power locks..
I hope thats including labor. because i got my dei acutators for $12.95
I would really install the acutators your self. The first time i did it i put both of them in on my lunch hour. Thats taking the panels off, running wire to them (14gauge speaker wire) then putting the panels back on. If you decide to do it yourself I can help you out with pictures and such. All you really need it a screw driver and a drill.
yeah i was thinking about doing it myself, the same place that said its 75$ each is selling the actuators for 11.99 each
i'm not sure why they're asking so much for the other ones.

Labor. The local shop here charges $90 installed per door
I also have a autopage rf-520lcd. No rs though
Just save your self some money and put the acutators in and run the wires though the door and leave them for them to hook up.
Yeah thats what i'm doing. i bought the actuators on my way home from work. i'l be installing them during work when its slow, so some of the more experienced guys can help. (I work as an apprentice mechanic) so it should work perfect. thanks guys. lol, definitly helped me save $100
