ok I just found an old box I built last year for 2 kicker L5's but I need to know my cb.ft. for it cause I want to try and make it work for something else, but dont know what it is tuned to either heres a couple of pics
the total outside measurements are 35wx15hx24d
the port is 4.25 wide port 1 is 13.5x18.5 port 2 is 13.5x10
I was thinking its tuned to like 28 hz but I need help to figure that out please
I am thinking bout putting a new piece of wood on the front to cover the square holes, and cut a square in the top to put my 15" L7 in it but, I have to fix the port cause im thinking it might not be ok to use? any suggestions, I am gonna build a proper box for the L7 but thought I can modify this one until then, I cant take it apart cause I used PL Premium to glue it together then screwed it haha
The cubic feet before port displacement, driver , and bracing (if you have any) is 5.88 cubes. I really dont get what youre saying about the port. so i cant help you on port displacement.
port? well its a L shaped port 4.25" wide 13.5" high, the first part of the L is 18.5 x13.5 the second is 10x13.5 so all I need is the tuning freq. im thinking around 28hz but need a second or third opinion
Well you port takes away almost a whole cube .946 cubes so you left with 4.934 cubes. Im not really sure on tuning tho.
lol thats what the most important part I need figured out lol thanks
awesome thank you very much, now if I put my 15" L7 on the top of the box facing up will it still function ok with the port firing the way it is?

Are you using 1 l7 or 2? if your using 2 it will be a little small. but its perfect for one .
dont get what your asking about mouting again if you mean have the sub firing into the box with the magnet outside, I dont see why it would be any diffrent. Theres still the same amout of back-pressure on the cone. But Im not sure on that
hes talking about subs up port back. it will work just not as well in a trunk car as in a suv or hatch
thanks n8ball thats exactlly what i meant and yes for now just one
