I recently had 3 12" powerbass subs, powered by a couple amps but dynamat is 3 layers thick and the vibration is too much on the trunk lid and everywhere else, the trunk has 3 layers of dynamat and it still dont help. any suggestions? somebody told me to lead it... ??? what does that mean besides fill the lid with lead?

Cement is an option if you're really going hardcore about this.

You might also consider some type of brace, if you need to open your trunk I'm sure you could rig a snap-on brace somehow, but then you are just adding more things to potentially rattle.

Adding mass to the trunk is usually the best option.

Well, if you're not willing to mass load the trunk or brace it, your other option is to rebuilt your box slightly (Don't have to start from scratch, probably need to know how to fiberglass though) so your speakers aren't pointing straight at the trunk, but rather forward, toward the seat/window.

there is a cover trim panel that sits over the subs it all sits completely flat and sturdy with sound transparent material over each sub about 3 inches above the top of the speaker.
