I am not brave enough to wire up the sending unit but I got the pod and everything mounted while I had a warm garage to work in.
Now when I have my oil psi gauge hooked up it automatically maxes out the guage..Is this because I dont have the sender wired?
On the back it has 3 lighitng wires(Red black yellow) And then has the 3 posts..One for an Ignition Switch, one for "Engine ground" and one for the sender.
Now for the "engine ground" post does it really matter where I ground it? A ground is a ground right?
Also For the Ignition swtich can I just use a 12 switched power from the fuse panel?
Thanks in advance!

Ground is ground unless it's a sensitive ground (like audio).
Ignition is any switched 12v.
if your car has the ecotec the weird reading is perfectly normal. mine maxs out and then slowly goes down to about 30-40 at running temp. don't sweat it your cars fine

So you wired it up to the stock sening unit? When I tried to wire mine up to the stock unit, it did the same thing. I think that's essentially because the stock unit only sends a signal when the pressure is outside of set parameters while the aftermarket one provides a full sweep and accurate readings for individual pressures, rather than just light/no light. It's really not tough to set up the sender. Use a small piece of brass pipe and a t-fitting so you can use the stock unit as well as the aftermarket. Which Oil Pressure gauge do you have? The Autometer one I bought only had one wire on the sending unit, so it's not too difficult.
yeah i was gonna try to use my stock sender to but i couldn't get it out so i said screw it and just ran my braided line to the plug on the head and ran the wire to the back of my gauge vola! oil psi reading
