HID and High beams

alirght, so this is kind of a repost, didnt get much out of the other thread, but, i have the HIDs as my lows, when the lows are on, there is barely any draw from the harness as i have it setup for negative switching, so how would i have my highs on and my HIDs on at the same time when i turn them on (highs)? HIDs are fine, but when i need to see a bit more above the cutoff i lose ALL of my light to turn on my highs...whats the easiest way? isnt this built into the BCM??

The easiest way would be to hardwire an external switch directly to the high beams.

well you are a two bulb setup.

well to be honest you should need to turn on your highs if you have HIDs but the only way i can think of doing it is diode splice into the high beam harness as well. this way the lows turn on the HIDs but not the highs. if you jsut need it for quick glance jsut hold back the stalk, it turns on both.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Are your hids wired up with a relay which draws power off your battery? If so you can use something called a diode. You place it between you high and low beam wires and it lets current flow to you low beams so that they stay on when you switch to your highs. When you lows are on the highs won't be on since the diode will block the current since diodes let current flow only one way.
