Tuesday, November 21, 2006 1:50 PM
i have a 99 sunfire 2.2 standard 5 speed
i have 1 12 inch bazooka sub in a ported box running 350 watts
when ever i want to turn the music up to level that is loud .... the mirror on my windsheild will not stop rattling ..... other then buying a new mirror
is there any fix for this .... i was thinkin about takin it off .... making a stencil of the backing and get sum thin cork and re install it ..... or is it just a loose problem .... or is it more then that ... any feed back will help ... thanks

Dale

I had the same proble. i thought. it sounded like it was coming from my mirrior, but it was acutally the headliner right above it . push up on it. it might stop the rattling.
Just a thought

theres a post on here somewhere that someone stuck paper or some other stuff in between the mirror and the housing and it helped alot. its not that the house is rattlin its the mirror itself is movving.

My mirror moves a lot to with my sub. I dont have anything like the windsheild rattling... I bet you it is just something else near there rattling. It could be a number of things near the front of the car making the noise.

The mirror is vibrating? And you have a sub? Hmm? Not sure why it would do that...LOL JK! Anyway, I got a billet aftermarket mirror and mine jars like crazy with just 2 dvc 10s and a 500 rms amp. It doesn't make any noise but, if it did, I wouldn't care...just a hazard of a lotta bass. If it bothers you that bad, go to the junk yard and get another...they cant be more than 5 or 10 bucks. I got one with the map lights for free once just because the bulbs were blown and it wouldnt work when i stuck the wires to a battery in the shop at the junk yard.
