So...how much will the cost be for us org members and well, when will it be availible
We havent set a price or release date yet. Im hoping to have it out a little into the new year. So its still a little ways out. But no more than 6 months I would guess.
The best parts. is the excursion is usable.. we rate the amp a perfect match for the nine.1 at 1200-1500 watts.
Its doesnt take 2000-3000 watts to use the throw...like some other high excursion subwoofers..
ooh yeah...it is an SQ driver aswell...it just gets loud at the same time.

take a look at almost any sub that has a long throw they all do that.

REALLY? My W7's don't do that, AT ALL, EVER
My 10W7's didn't
My 8W7's didn't
and my 12W7's DO NOT Wrinkle
but maybe becaue they don't move that far.

So its an SQ sub too huh? That is interesting. A lot of companies claim that they have High excursion SQ subs, but how far will it actually go before it sounds nasty?? Not trying to dog ya man, but other companies say the same thing, and I still haven't seen many that impress me except JL. Can you post any more specs, or do I just have to wait til they come out to find out? Also I think it would be interesting if you could line up the specs of your sub with the JL W7's so we can see how close they are. I know that MTX did that too and they look better on paper, but I will still stick with JL by ear.

No specs yet.....you will have to wait....and we arent claiming this as a W7 killer.. Just a lower cost alternative.
As you can see it has alot of coil, power handling is huge, if you require it too, but only needs about 1000 to really get it moving.
As for the surround, like pretty much everyones said. almost all long throw drivers do that. The surround technology that we implemented actually cleans up alot of the surround wrinkle when compared to the original av2 prototype, not to mention this guy has more throw than the original prototype.
Think 4" and still sounding great... and you can still push it to more.

looking really good alex, i had two MA AUDIO 10" COMP series subs, loved them, now have to Infinity 10's and they dont sound good at all, and the excursion on them is crazy, so im thinking about picking one of these up when they come out on the market!

So this wont hurt the surround after alot of use? Looks like it would start tearing or something from wrinkling like that constantly. No?
nope...wont hurt the driver atall...its designed to do that.
almost all very high excursion drivers do it.
