I need help troubleshooting my amp!!!

power comes on...protection comes on then it all shuts off........this is al in the span of about 5 seconds. I can not figure it out, and dont know how to go about finding the problem...........Anyone on here have any clue??

Any help would be awesome.....before I go and just buy a new one.......but this one is a great amp for what I have and just want to fix it if possible.

All wiring is correct, Fuses are fine, ground is strong power is there it just wont come on!!

I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!

internal short maybe

Is it hooked up to the subs??
My amp did that because I was running too low of a load. I had like a .7 and my amp was only stable to 2.
Might check that.

Yup disconnect speaker leads and check for 12V at the turnon lead and at the 12v input and then check for resistance at the ground back to the negative battery post. Check these with a dmm, and then when you turn the car on if it still does this, it is something internal with the amp. It will need to be repaired by a professional. Make sure you dont leave it connected either

usually ite the remote turn on wire being grounded out somewhere or a loose connection or a fuse in the amp itself that is moving causing it to turn on and off? just a thought?

check your ground wire really good too
