I've heard people say Two Type S 10,12 or one Type R 10,12 will there really be any sound difference between two S vs one R

You heard right.
2 - S
1- R

The Type-R might be a little tighter because it's only one sub. 2-S's might be louder because of increased surface area. In the end, i'd go with the R.

build quality, overall specs, and sound quality are going to be with the R over the S, what kinda music? what kind of box? what kinda sound u looking for? and would you consider any other brands? (sorry wiz, i WILL recomend more than just alpine you brand whore LOL)

its funny, you named off a bunch of sub brands that i DO actualy like recomending(in the other thread)... and very few products made by very few of those brands would i ever say fall lower than a type-r... so at least you helped me prove that there are other options for him but the R isnt a bad way to go, so DO NOT think im coming in here to stray you from your origional choice... i just realy am not a fan of the Type-S. Some brands' lower lines just can't hold up to the rep their higher lines. take RF for instance... would i say the T1 is a nice sub? yep... would I say a P1 is a nice sub? OH HELLLLLLLL NO!... type S i wouldnt put down on the crap pile i put a p1 at, but they dont hold a candle to a type R in any way shape or form.

I would say if runnin 1 sub I would do a type r but if running to then do the type s. the type s is basically a old school type r.

not really...2 type R 10's would be ideal...

I have one will apline 600:1 rated at 644 RMS

it's sounds nice... good quality and hits hard and crisp...

I wouldn't get the S over the R even if it's is for 1 sub
