GM Radio Connector Question

What's the plug on the Left? The one on the right is the stock stereo harness, I take it the one on the left is for Theftlock or XM/RDS?

Can anyone clear that up for me, my car had a plain AM/FM radio, and lacked the second plug, I got the new GM MP3 radio in, and it seems to work, so I'm just assuming its non-essential, but I'd like to be clear if possible.

Cheers!

Might prove helpful. And I figured it was something like that. Are you using the factory installed XM setup or the Terk XM-Direct Setup?

Try this. Hit Band/XM/Aux whatever button it is to switch to the XM tuner, tune to channel 0 and write down the 8 character ID.

From there you can either give it to your existing XM radio carrier or go through the link I posted above (which is GM's contract XM) I think you might have to actually ACTIVATE the radio too, but I'm not certain, I think you can get directions for that here:

Who knows, if all else fails, maybe you can give 1.800.XM.RADIO a holler and see if they can help.
