so im installing a pager alarm into the new 4dr and ive run into a problem
i have a blue wire coming off the brain of the alarm which is meant togo to a door trigger wire(-) i printed off a wiring diagram for my car and it says the door trigger is a white wire(-)thats beside the dash light under the dash, now i found the right wire and when i connect the 2 wires it will flash my blinkers,HVAC, and dash lights 24/7 until i disconnect the wire

looked it my wiring diagram for the car and for the domelight supervison wire it says to use the Door Trigger wire and it requires a #775 Relay....so im guessing i need to buy a relay to get the door trigger to work properly? should any stereo shop have this relay?
and i need a hand with hooking up my power locks as i got confused lol
heres the diagrams that came with the alarm

and the car wiring diagram i printed off
http://www.directwholesale.net/diagrams/diagram.asp?ModelID=19621&MakeID=54&link=BULLDOG
now i have a relay that came with hte alarm but i dont know what its for or the model #, it says
STEEL MATE
ALARM-CMA31
30A 12VDC
then a little diagram picture on it

FDP 62MM TB, FFP Performance Chip, FFP Underdrive Pully, WAI, Hi Flow Cat, 2.5" Catback, Functional Ram Air Hood, Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
On the site I use for alarm colors- it says the door trigger is the white wire @ the drivers door pin switch...
There should be no reason a door trigger wire turns on your parking lights. I think you have the wrong wire.
well i took off the piller by the windshield where the dome light gets run and the white wire that goes tothe dome light is where its connected and it flashes all my lights for some reason
i put a DMM on the blue wire and its a 12V wire which i dont get as the diagram says its (-)

well i got the power locks working today wtih the arm/disarm button but this damn door trigger wire is bugging the hell out of me

for door trigger you can use the dome light.
but if i use the dome light it makes everything flash, could it be becuase im supposed to hook up to the white wire of the dome light which is (-) and my blue trigger wire off the brain is actually a 12V constant? would a relay reverse that?

your dome light is a negative trigger. you can use two relays to reverse the polarity. dont ask me how its been a long time since ive gone into this.
hook it up to each wire for the doors where it comes off the pin switch and use a diode for each wire so they do not see each other
In my car it was a green wire with a black stripe on the driver , and a light blue wire on the passenger i used diodes to isolate them then just connected that to the alarm

You should only need one.
30 12V
85 12V
86 - trigger
87 output
87A not used
That will change the - trigger to a positive output. Then hook up your blue wire to pole 87.
I also think you have the wrong wire. Double check, get the wire right at the dome light, and if that still doesn't work try another interior light.
Good luck!
Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
do you have a multimeter? it makes this kind of job a whooooole lot easier - and you only need to know how to use 2 functions of the meter. You could also use a test light to do all of the same stuff - its just kind of a pain having to switch power sources a bit....
Check your white wire that you are tapped in to - see if it is 12v + or ground. Also - close all doors but the drivers door and then press on the door switch - this will help you confirm if you have the right wire (if it is 12v+ then your meter should read 12v when the door is open, if it is a wire that goes to ground it should only go to ground when the door is open)
A meter or a test light really makes this testing task possible - and a whole lot easier than simply relying on what other people tell you or info you find on the internet..
