So I have 2 Audiobahn 10" subs. I previously had a 222w amp that i bridged up to them and worked fine for a while and then my guess was that somehow the amp got fried. So I borrowed a 1000w amp off of a friend to hook up and see if they worked to find out if the amp was fried, turned out that amped worked fine so I bought it off of him. I had it hooked up normally, not bridged, and then it worked good for about 2 weeks and now the same thing as before, I've got nothing. My question is could it possibly be blown again and if so, why the hell does it keep happening? There is no short anywhere all my wires have nice clean connections and brand new. It just sucks now being able to bump around but now I've got nothing.
I just went out and used my multimeter to check out if I was getting power to the amp and sure enough, I was. So, I have no idea what's going on.
most likely you one, have a bad ground, or two do not have an amp that is able to handle how ever many ohms the subs are. try and mount your ground to a post on the rear seat or somthing of that nature. also are there protection lights on the amp? i guess thats all i can do with the info...hope it helps!
