Well I finally got around to carpeting my box and installing my subwoofer!
What's that big thing in my trunk?
Sub and Amp : Rockford Fosgate Power T210D2 and Orion Audio HCCA-D2400
Wired at a 2 Ohm load. 1200 Watts going to the sub which is 800 RMS, 1600 Max.
And already I find....
Looks like a fuse upgrade is in order.
the d2400 gives 1200w at 1ohm
what gauge wire are you running?
I screwed up that quote sorry.
That fuse was actually only 30A

so I bought some 60A fuses and put them in there.
not bad. if you dont normally run with the back seats down you should turn your sub around so that its rear facing. otherwise you will get cancellation and it wont be as loud as it could.

Either that, or I'm thinkin about getting a second one and building a rectangle box

even if you do get another sub. still have the subs facing the rear. the best place would be as far back as possible but that usually doesnt work out well with cargo space and looks wierd.
looks like you've got decent equipment there... but you totally slaughtered ALL of your trunk space. that's prolly a 4ohm subwoofer, in which case that 800 watts just dropped to about 200watts... which is all you need for our cars really to get a good clean mix.

but you never want to see it again... especially if the movie was a bitch."

Thanks... you think maybe if I was incredibly concerned about trunk space, I'd have built a less aesthetic and a more ergonomic enclosure?

And the sub is actually a dual 2 Ohm, so yeah, it's wired to 1 Ohm, 1200 watts running to it.
And the sub is still 800 RMS and 1600 max.
