decision to make

Which choice would be better, 2 11Kv.2's or 1 13Ov.2??? I would like to stick with elemental designs since we get forum pricing.

I plan on using a ported box for either option. I would say i'm about 50/50 on SPL/SQ. I mostly listen to 3 6 Mafia and groups alike so I like some bass but i want SQ.

any help is appreciated

cone area is a good factor in output, pair of 10s will have that, the o will have more throw, but i realy couldnt say from an output standpoint, and both are great SQ drivers... why not step up to a pair of 13k's instead of 11k's? ported, tuned down around 28-30 hz...thats sex right there superb SQ subs with plenty of output for ya

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

another issue is what type of power you have available.

I agree with JL tho....upgrade to dual 13kv2s and you will be more than happy.

But like i said, in that situation it comes down to power, and what size space you want to give up.

the directed amo that i already have puts out 600 watts at 1 ohm so i need something around there. and i don't really have the room for 2 12's ported... i really don't have the room for two 10's ported but i like the price of the 11kv's

i would do the 11k's i suppose... or just use the backseat for cargo more than the trunk and get some 13ks

that thought actually has crossed my mind... i might as well go with twelves... how much more output do you think that would have?

enough to bother, i mean, the price increase from the 11ks to the 13ks isnt that huge, and the output will obviously be noticeable, eD builds boxes, but Alex, bro... i know u are a great guy, helping the JBO out with amazing pricing on eD and you realy help us when we got questions BUT..... as far as enclosures go, i gotta stick with JD, he is the man, custom built boxes for the absolute lowest price and absolute highest quality and concern for customer satisfaction is always there! soundsthatpound.com click on the contact us link, or if u happen to wander over to caraudioforum.com his name is mobileman on there... and since we get the eD forum discount, and their amps are rock solid performers, i would say a pair of 13Kv2s and a Nine.1 would be a great combo... hit up JD for some price quotes on ported boxes built to the subs specs (make sure to give him the model of subs your running, and TS perameters if u can, the less he has to look up himself, the quicker the reply). knukonceptz.com is where i prefer to go for the best price on top notch wiring, eD also has wiring available too.

The speaker wire is the only messy part because I didnt want to go from the subs with 16g, then from the enclosure to the amp with 18, so I used what I had left of the 16, which didn't give it a lot of slack to be fed under the carpeting.

I did however get the power and ground fed through the carpet, and I like the look of it. (When it was there by itself, speaker wire is covering it now.)
