so i have someone that wants to trade me amps, i have the RF amp and he has a modified earthquake D2, reason he wants to trade is he has a RF sub thats wired to 2ohms so therefor he wants a 2ohm amp and he wants it all RF, he says its
"1000wrms@2ohms and its been fully modded to handle a 1ohm load which brings the wattage to 1500wrms and 2800peak @ 14.4 @1ohm , it is an oldie but a goodie, as we like to say. I ran this amp down to 0.5 ohms just to see if she could handle, and man was i in for a shock"
and he said he might throw some cash on top

should i do it or should i stay away from the D2?

I'd trade for the amp and a little cash, and it would put a big smile on my face if you did
i would never run an earthquake amp. they may make power but boom andsmoke is what you'll get out of it. in other words reliability is not with them.
i have seen a few D2's put out magic smoke when they just had the power, ground and remote hooked up and not even on.

You might wanna ask why he was shocked.

some issues or its issue?
I figured if you trade your amp for his amp and some cash, you could watch a smoke show, and still have some money towards another amp
