Well i finally got the last peice of my system, my Alpine V12 4 channel amp.
Now it has settings for HP and LP.
Im using it to power
a 6.5in Infinity Kappa Perfect Component System
And 6.5in Infinity Kappa Perfect 2 ways
I know what the settings mean, but i forget which way they work. Is LP going to filter out my Highs or my Lows?
Should I just leave the Filters off?
Or how about turning the filter on for the rear 2 ways and leaving it off for the components system.
LP will let more of the lows through and restrict the highs, HP will let more nighs through and restrict the lows. You could just leave the filters off and let all of the highs and lows through. That would all depend on you since it is your system and your car.
You want to set it to HP. It should be adjustable from there. Whatever you set it on is where it will start the cutoff at.
For example, if you set the HP filter to 80 hz. It will play everything from 80hz on up, below 80hz, it will drop off 12db per octave (or whatever your amp does)
