Alright so i load tested my battery and amp today...battery is fried liek i suspected..and my alternator is only puttin out 60 amps?! thats not right, is it? like at higher rpm shouldnt i be getin...like 105 or somethin? i got the 2.2 ohv engine...and the specs said 105 amp alternator....like does this mean my alternator is gunna crap out right away or wearing out or what? like im runnin like ... 1320 RMS right now through my speaker and and two sub amps...if i turn it up ne ways...like would that be enough to like...fry my alt or have ne effect on it or what? instead of like .. getttin another stock one would it be worth my while to get a high output alt and if so what output should i get? i was thinkin 200 would be sufficient cuz im only thinkin i wanna get about another...300rms out of my stereo before i quit buildin it...so like what do u guys think would be enough amperage for like 1620watts rms...prolly peak out at like...3000 or somethin for an instant... but yeah ne help is appreciated

I can't help you on the high output question, or the stereo bit...
But as for the alternator... it's fooked. Go get it rebuilt, rewound to a higher amperage if you want... best bet. Chances are you've blown the rectifier board, it's the first thing to go on these newer alternators, especially if you give others jump starts with your car running.... fries 'em up real quick
How did you determine that your alternator is only putting out 60 amps? The alternator only puts out the amount of amperage required to run the loads. You'd have to add more electrical loads to get the amperage up.
i used this thing this guy at the place i go to school at has the measures the alternator output and loads the battery and @!#$ and we revved up my car and loaded the system with the thing and it was only puttin out 60 amps...

Maybe this can help:
"A friend of mine a few years back had a system in his cavalier and it constantly had a battery issue. He brought it to me to figure out what was going on.
1. The first problem was that the cavalier alternator could not keep up with the electrical draw of all the components in the car.
2. I was surprised my self how much the car it self drew with the lights on and AC on, it ended up close to 45amp of draw without the stereo system on.
3. Then I tested with the amplifiers on at a loud listening level, his car was having peek current draws of 182amp of draw. Average draw of 130amps.
4. So simple math 65amp alternator minus 182amps draw = - 117 amp. So his system was running in the negative. Which meant for the car to keep going it was drawing everything from the battery to the point where it damaged the battery.
5. I replaced the battery and before replacing the alternator found that there was a draw leaking past the rectifier bridge in the alternator. It was small but enough that in a few days time it could kill a battery.
6. Last but not least I got him an Ohio generator that put out 150amps I told him that this was boarder line of what he needed for his system since he was averaging 130amps of draw and peaks of 180.
7. All this seemed to fix his set up he still has his car with all the equipment in it and no more dead batteries."

Sorry I was not using proper sentance structure, I know that can get annoying. But yeah, I think I may just need a new alternator. I don't see how some of these people run 3000wrms systems supposedly off the stock alternator. I'm doing less than half that and killing it. But yeah, I was thinking a 200amp one to leave some headroom for improvement, does that sound reasonable? Plus, I'm thinking of getting a yellowtop seeing as how I'm using a loner from school and that is just for temporary. I just don't have the funds right now.
And if you're going to tell me to do the big 3, I already have done it in 2 guage wire.

Yep. Sounds like a good plan. A lot of the problem is that currently there is no regulations forcing companies to rate their equipment under the same conditions. Some companies voluntarily use the new standards, but most do not. Most likely you have a much better quality amp, that is also under rating its power. Where some people run a 1000 amp with no electrical trouble because it only puts out 1000 watts for one note, if lightning strikes.

I ran 2 Rockford fosgate 1000bds off the stock electrical for over 6 months with no problems. Both birthsheeted at 1200+ watts. Do I recommend it. hell no but it worked. . I did get dimming and stuff but that was only during serious balls to the wall bumping. .
Try for another 6 months. It doesn't kill the system right away, it's more like cancer slowly killing it.

My electrical has grown up. Its soon gonna be 2 Iraggi 300 amp alternators and 5 yellow tops.

5 yellows? just get a horizon! it'll take up less space but still be about the same power wise
