Is there a way to transfer the files off his ipod nano, using i tunes, or do we have to go the burn cd, external hardrive route? Can i plug it into my comp and remove them somehow? Drag and drop does not work, i have the nano registered to my itunes but couldnt get anything. cant find the music on my computer/ E:nano, so i was looking for your input and help please.

I am pretty sure the only way to do this is the cd route, or if he has a lot of songs go with the external hardrive. If you plug his iPod into your comp then it will probably put the songs in your library onto his iPod, and if you don't have any songs, then it will erase his untill he plugs the iPod into his itunes again. You have to locate the song locations on his computer and transfer them using a hardrive or cd. Hope this helps, I would go the hardrive route. Later

This should help you I haven't tried it myself but it should be able to get the songs off his iPod onto your computer. Make sure you don't let your itunes update his ipod first though or it'll erase the songs that aren't in your library I believe.
