I always thought Visionik was a top brand type of company, tonight when i was in wal mart i saw an entire wall of Visionik kits that came with a 12" a box and a 350 watt mono amp for like $78
on the box it said "As Seen on PIMP MY RIDE"..
are they a crap wal mart brand type company or whats the deal?

They used to be ok (at least their sub amps). If it's in walmart and says "As seen on pimp my ride!" I wouldn't buy it.

just wondering, cause i've always considered Visionik to be one of the more quality brands but now that i see them on the wal mart shelve's next to "lightning audio" and "Dub" i threw up a big red flag.

So what if wal-mart is selling it? If you guys saw an RF amp kit or something at wal-mart, you'd be whining too. Wal-mart is a fantastic place for products to be seen by the masses.
my visonik has been great!
ive got one of there DVC subs in a bandpass box. in that box it has like a 91 or 92 db sensitivity.
out of that box it was like 87 or so.
anyways, mine has been great! picked it up cheap and had my boss construct the box. i believe my model is the V10D4.

it has been a good little sub and im happy with it. of coarde i didnt get it at walmart, but i would asume it to be the same quality.
if you sat in my car, you would probably think it to be two 10's or atleast a 12, but thats what you get for putting a decent product in a well constructed box.

I wont buy anything at walmart. They are the lowest of the low for the quality of product. They are followed my Kmart, and then on the top of the mega stores quality list is Target.
found a set of blaupunkt 6.5" speakers up at walmart in Regina, got 'em for $25, they were the display models so no box... just wrapped in tape. They were the ones you can see through the cone. Took 'em back cuz they dont fit XD

Not by me they dont. though i had a buddy recently buy a walmart optima battery for $225, nice discount huh?
And yes, some lightening audio is crap. I tried their 6x9"s from walmart, they were installed for less then 4 hours and he left one blew, then about 2 weeks later the right blew.
And you're saying you didn't overpower them? Didn't change the EQ levels? Checked the max usable volume level at the right impedance with a voltmeter?
If it wasn't your fault that they blew, get your money back and quit whining. Companies don't stay in business if they sell bad products.
they were 100 watt rms, and i had maybe 30 watts going into them, my EQ was on 0 across the board.
But then again, when you pay $30 for them, and im used to infinity's, i guess i got what i paid for.

lightning audio has pretty much been known as a crap company, most times the items they would sell would have missing parts and such.......just because its a branch of rockford, doesnt mean its the same quality as rockford

a buddy of mine has a lightning audio amp and sub, they said they are 750 watts... I looked them up on the internet and I saw the amp is only 150 watts and the sub is 150 watts RMS and "750" max... I dont believe the max though
my friend has lightning audio 6x9 in his truck and never had any problems with em
my other friend had a LA +/- 400w amp and sub and never had any problems
i had 2 visonik 10s and still have the 400w amp, great sound for the price and no problems whatsoever
Come to think of it, i hate rockford as well. Ive tried some of there stuff, and always went back to infinity.
It's been over a year since I got my Visonik kit ( 2x10 800 watts with amp and wiring ) for only $100....no problems since then...great sound, ( not the best on the market ), but fullfill my needs...

the only time i have ever seen Visionik around here is the cheap Box & Amp combo Best Buy was selling a few years back and then at the swap meets.
To me just because a brand is sold at walmart doesn't mean it's crap. think about it, walmart is a national big name chain store, why wouldn't a company toss some of their products into the stores? i've boughten my old pioneer h/u and my pioneer 6x9s from walmart. no problems ever.
as for lightning audio, i've seen good and bad from them. i have the b150.2 amp from their bolt series. have had it for at least 3 years. no problems. my bro has had bad luck with their products though. he got the single 10" sub and amp combo (the F&F one) from wally world and the amp blew last year and the sub just stopped working a couple weeks back. he did only pay less then $50 for them. he also got some LA Bolt Series 6x9s and the one is messed up. sometimes it likes to work sometimes it doesn't and it's in the speaker itself.

As far as Wallmart goes they bully their suppliers. I've dealt with them before, I designed and manufactured displays for them and they get companies to make things to their specs alot of the time as cheap as possible so when the suppliers are squeezed on price they sacrafice the quality alot of the time. Another reason sometimes you can't find the model that wallmart sells anywhere else to compare, its made specifically for them.
Is it me or doesnt any realize that most company's have different level/lines of products. So, it's probably just thier entry level stuff.

No Crap. I've seen many wholesale dealers online and elseware and if you search thouroughly, you can find some massive savings there. Got a Premier DEH-9400MP, which was a $810 MSRP at the time, for $545 w/shipping new in the box and sealed.
You really won't save much if you're looking for something under $200, though.
They normally sell RF Power hx2 10's for around $200 though. They're listed for $399 everywhere else.

i was just saying, i found it hard to believe that visionik was dealing with wal mart, because i had always thought they were a top brand company (that didnt have low level crap to offer) and was shocked to see it on their shelf next to road master and lightning audio.
