Cut 3/4" MDF to the shape of the speaker, to replace the plastic piece. It takes no effort whatsoever to drill through the back dash. Use Dynamat on the dash (double layer). Mount speaker, do not use grill on speaker unless rattling is wanted between grill and back dash cover, and replace cover.

sounds good will be working on this tomorrow. the only way to get to the back speakers is to take the whole back of the car apart?

do you have to take off that damn seatbelt boat to get the back side panels off. i am having that issue right now and i have everything taken off of the back accept the bolt on the seatbelt harness and that thing is driving me nuts. i have to be doing something retarded. i took the top 3 plasic pieces off and the 2 wing things that are on behind the seat and pulled most of the side panel off but no joy on the seatbelt.

i drive a 2002 Z24

what i did was take a 1" x 32" piece of angle iron and bolt it to the underside of the deck

i bolted it just behind the tensioner bars and put pieces of wood between the angle iron and the and the deck about 2/3rds of the space of the gap between the iron and the deck and bolted through the would to pull the deck down and create some tension

problem solved

its really like putting on a subframe brace. same idea anyway

Whats up people?
