I'm redoing my trunk setup and making a glass sub box in the spare tire well. How thick are you guy's making your boxes?
Don't tell me in layers please, tell me in fractions/mm's. I have 3 or 4 different thickness of mat and 5 different thickness of woven that I use to make all my vacuum form tools so I can control thickness pretty well.
I'll be running 2 JLw10v2's @ about 400watts each MAX and that won't be very often.

1 CM and you should be good if you are using matte. just make sure that you layer in the corners so that the fibres roll around. ex. if you have 4 layers all cut to the same length and they all meet at the same point = bad. you want consistancy all around, tear the matte with your hands, dont cut it with scissors. it weaves it to make a strong bond.
If you are using fleece, SOAK it, the more resin you put in, the stronger its gonna be, you'll still need matte behind it (fleece + matte should equal 15mm aprx.)
thats my 2 cents.
1cm = .3937 = 3/8" That sounds pretty thick to me.

1/4 inch should be plenty.
That's about what I was figuring. Thanks...
