Hi. I've got a 2005 Sunfire with the Monsoon system. I noticed one of my buttons is labeled "Aux". I'm guessing this means my cd player has an auxiliary input somewhere. However, I can't find it......at least not without ripping my dash apart. Does anyone have any info on this? Is there really an input somewhere? If so, how do I get to it? If possible, I'd like to be able to use that input so I can listen to my portable mp3 player (or my Sony cd changer...though I'm not sure if that one is possible). I'm just hoping there's a way to get to it without ripping out my dash. Any help would really be appreciated!
there is a 12 pin conenctor in the back but i dont know what adapters work for it
I have the same thing on my 04 cav, i believe its because some of our cars came with sat. radio. I don't know if you have that option, just an idea.
i have an adapter that plugs right into that plug, and it's for sale.... so if you want, yes you can get an aux input......

How much would you want for it? And what devices can it be used with? Just portable mp3 players, or can it also be used with my changer? And what would I need to do to plug it in the back of my cd player? The car is brand new and I'm a little scared to pull the whole dash off.

It's never been used. Brand new in the box. Just a plug and play interface.
You can plug in any source that you can use RCA's for, wether it be somekind of MP3 or anything else that you wanty to play through your factory radio. This does not FM modulate, so it actually inputs the signal in to the radio, instead of through some crappy radio signal.

Stupid question......I don't have XM, so could my stereo still be XM ready?
Ask yourslef these two questions........
1) Do you have a button that says "AUX" ???
2) Is your Cavalier an 03-04 ???
if you have answered "yes" to both the questions, then the adapter will work, and you may step up to the technology and enjoy any other source, besides your lovely radio stations, a CD, or any old school tapes that you may have playing through your factory radio.
