Are memphis subs any good? I can get a pretty decent deal for 2 12'' subs.

depends on model, but i have 2 memphis 12's(forgot the model) and i like em alot. ive had about 10 different sub setups, and im very impressed with the memphis subs

Yup, Memphis is good stuff. I have had a couple of their amps and i plan on buying a 12" M3 in a ported enclosure real soon. They are good clean subs and can get loud and stay clean when you have the right amp to push them.
I used to have 2- 10" Memphis PRs. They were good i never had a problem and they hit hard
I have a Power reference 15" dvc 4 ohm sub, was the first 15" i ever owned that thing hit nice and smooth and with alot of power, amazing how loud it was off 350 watts, deffinatly check into anything made by memphis their stuff is total quality.
and their amps have a reputation you almost cant touch.
