problem with the remote wire

the one on my Cd player all of a sudden has no power coming off of this. what would cause this and is there an alt. way to hook up the remote wire? the Cd player itself work fine.

is it fused at the back of the deck or inside of the deck? If so, check that fuse.

if you're lazy like me, my deck didn't come with a remote wire. I just rewired the remote wire terminal (on the amp itself) to the constant power (12v) source on the amp. Amp is always on, but my battery never runs dry, low, or anything else. You could, as well, just switch the remote wire on the amp from the REM on your deck to the accessory power wire (usually red) on your deck. This way, amp turns on when deck turns on... why do the put REM wires on decks anyways when they cant shut down the amp? (There's probably a few, but most cant do it)
