Single Sub Placement

Well i just got a Alpine Type R 12" sub along with the Alpine MRD-M605 Amp. I would like to mount each in the corners of my cavy by the tail lights one on each side. They would be both mounted on partical board and the sub will be in a box but they will be made flush with the corners inorder to look original etc. I know to mount the sub on an angle in the box inorder to make sure there is less cancelation issues. My question is how good will this sound? Im not looking for the loudest system there is obviously cuz i only have one sub but im looking for a system that looks good, leaves trunk space, and soulds good as well.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Andy

it'll be louder if you face it directly towards your rear bumper.

i plan on doing that once i get one more sump and amp. but i was going to fiberglass it in so it looks good and seels very nicely. i have a 12" sub ( lol i cant remember the name of it right now) and i want another one just like it and i would but thos in the corners. Then i was going to lay the amps down right infront of the trunk in between the corner subs.

It will be ok, it just won't be as loud as wysiwyg said.
