hey everyone i got an aftermarket tach and i need to know what wire to splice into for the green wire 97 2.2

I just did it about three hours ago. Your tach must have a "two-cylinder" option otherwise you need a tach adapter, available from Sunpro, Autometer or RKSport, among others.

With my Sunpro one it came with directions but basically you hook the tach's green wire into the adapter, and the other end splicesinto the ignition coil wiring - just between the airbox and the head of the engine, a big thick connector with about ten wires coming out of it. You want the orange and the white wires.

so it really cannot be done with out the adapter
