Trunk popper.

I have a 97 LS sedan with keyless entry.

Im wanting to shave the inners and rear trunk lock, but before I do that, I need to figure out a problem or find another way around it.

On my Keyless entry the Trunk popper hardly wants to work, and sometimes i have to resort to the key. But the lock/unlock works fine.

here's my questions:

A: Could this be a problem with the remote?
B: I don't have an attena outside the car. I have satalite radio and when I bought the car a few months ago the attena wire was laying in the trunk and there just a hole for the attenna mount... Could this be 'causing it to not get the proper signal?
C: Is the soleniod shot for the trunk popper?
D: Can I wire a push button to pop the trunk with out destroying any electrical fuctions? (run a constant to the switch, switch to soleniod) Basicly like the 2002+ have the popper inside the car.

Any info would be nice. I'd really like to have one inside the car if possible. Even if its a cable realease, i'd be happy with that.

awesome... im gonna have to do this later on this week (when its NOT SNOWING!) lol...

one more thing... What wire is it that controls the popper, and what's a good source to splice? (this way i don't have to run 15 ft of wires. lol.

Mine is run all the way back to the trunk popper. I'm like 95% sure the switch wire runs from the keyless entry in the trunk to the popper, so that's what you have to do. I was too lazy to actually look at wiring diagrams. There is only 1 wire coming off the popper so it is pretty easy to wire up. I think the wire is black with a white stripe, but don't quote me on that. Of course, wire the other side of the switch to a constant +12V source and you have a new trunk popper. ta da
