Tonight I was trying to install a new headunit in my 01 Z and everything was going good until I tried putting the cd player into the dash. I couldn't get it to slide all the way in so it stuck out a little ways. I think all the wires are stopping it from going all the way in. I tried for a long time trying to move wires and push it in but it wouldn't go in. Does anyone know of anything that I can do to make it fit.

P.S. I also tried using spacers that came with the dash kit. That worked but I couldn't get the plastic hvac panel to go back on.

There are two vertical plastic pieces in the back of where the deck goes in. Cut these two pieces out. You may need to work the wires around a little bit to get them out of the way but it should go in.

Took me a while to get mine in too. If you plan on adding a subwoofer, I would run your rca cables now so you wont have to pull it back out and hassel with it again.
