Okay I purchased some brand new Pioneer 6X9s back in '03, and hooked them up to a brand new Profile Clarus 300 amp (80 watts rms,400 max) with the low pass set at 70Hz so they never saw anything too low. Well I sold the car, and decided to sell the speakers, posted them on the classifieds here and somebody in Florida bought them for $50 shipped (they were $190 new). After insurance and shipping he bought them for $32. I *know* they worked perfectly when I shipped them, but he says that one of them is blown. As far as I'm concerned this is an "As-Is" sale, what are your thoughts?
well what does he expect you to do about it? buy them back from him?

I'm not sure, I told him I considered the transaction As-is. He says he doesn't want to get screwed, and thats not my intention, but a lot of things happen between the time I pack them in the box, and the time he is listening to music out of them. I don't feel I should have to pay for it.
It's a hard to say, what did your add say? Also, whats more important to you.... your rep on the org or the $50.00. Sometimes It pays to be the bigger man
Tell him to send them back and refund him his money......
You said you bought insurance. Have you contacted the shipper?
tell him hes a dumb ass and to take the neg and positive and switch it

When buying, you are doing so at your own risk.
Either way... The fact that you let them go for only $32 (after shipping) is your fault, not his. Don't go looking for sympathy now. But you shouldn't have to lose even more.
You bought insurance... use it. That's why we buy it.
$50 for $192 speakers? he's got nothin to complain about. normally when I see something that cheap... I think it's too good to be true... usually is.
I see your not really wanting to say "it's not my problem" to him, so I'd have to say as well, contact the shipper. Either that, or you can have him send them back, refund his money, so YOU can test them and see if he's trying to BS you.
In the end though... is it worth doing that?
He should have purchased insurance for them when he asked you to ship them. After shipment, if he doesn;t insure them, then it is not your fault. Funny thing is, he could have insured them for $32 or $50, and even if he got his money back from the shipping party, he still wouldn't have been able to have bought those speakers for the amount of money he got back. I have dealt with EbAY for 7 years now, and in an instance when the buyer can request to have insurance on the item, which I always do, then if it gets damged during shipping, it's not the seller's fault. And if he writes negative feedback on you, you're able to defend yourself in a reply to his. SO explain that he didn;t get insurance on the otem and the item was in good condition the last time you had them installed. If he can;t understand that, then he should've known better when he only had to pay $50 for a $200 pair of speakers. You get what you pay for. Just my .02

SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
alot of things can happen suring shipping, tell him to take it up with the shipping company.
