well i finally sold my 400a4 and just got my 800a4. looks brand new, but had no way of testing it. left good feedback and went about my merry way. got back from my vacation in NY, and hooked everything up. only 3 channels work, the other one sounds real low and you have to turn the gain up way to high to hear it. and another channels goes crazy when i turn the gain up past half. *sigh*. same thing happened when i bought my 400a4, only i had 2 channels seriously screwed up.
at least the infinity kappa perfects i bought off ebay came brand new in the box and work perfect. for now i hooked both of them up to one channel and hooked the rear 6x9's to another. gonna have to send in the amp to be repaired eventually.
buy your equipment from an actual store and you wouldn't have these problems

no one sells 800a4 anymore. besides, i saved a good 500 bucks compared to what they used to sell. theres no way any repair shop around here is going to charge me more than 50 bucks to replace whatever isnt working, so i still saved a good 450.
Why not try a different brand?

make sure that anytime you buy anything on ebay, it says in the item information that it is new in box. if it doesnt say, contact the seller and save your email messages, you never know when you may need them for court!!

ebay is your friend i hate when people say buy your crap somewhere else.. idiots.. you just have to be aware of what your buying.. i usually buy "new" stuff on ebay and have not had any problems. Maybe explain your situation to the seller and you guys can work something out ive bought EVERYTHING for my car on ebay amoung other things tons of things. Rims body kit seats in dash tails ect... you just have to pay attention
yea, i buy almost everything off ebay. my cell phone, speakers, books, i've even bought sneakers, lol. i've never had a problem before. i just seem to have bad luck with the amps i buy. both of them had 2 ****ed up channels.
i cant really do anything about it right now because i live both in dominican republic and NY(because of school and work i make alot of trips back and fourth), but my car is here in DR. so everything i buy i ship to my other house in NY. and bring it back with me when i come back in my suitcase. i ordered the amp back at the beggining of july and i was in NY from july till the end of august. so i just got home, hooked it up, and found 2 burnt channels. it would be way too much of a hassle to wait till my next trip(oct or nov) and then contact the seller i left good feedback for 2 months ago. not worth it, i can fix it with 50 bucks and then sell it for 3 times what i bought it for(everything is so overpriced here..). i guess that just teaches me to have someone over there test my stuff before i leave good feedback.

i'm not saying i don't use ebay (i'm an active seller) but for things like high end electronics, i support my local brick and mortar

i just fixed a ground problem i had with the amp(i have it bolted to the back of my seat and the screws were grounding the amp out so i was getting a @!#$load of alternator whine and other noises. i ended up wrapping the screws in rubbed before drilling them and it went away). after i fixed the ground problem, the 2 channels that i thought were @!#$ up ended up not being @!#$ up at all. why the problem made 2 channels go bad while the other 2 were fine is beyond me, but they work and i'm happy.
i guess ebay didnt @!#$ on me after all!
wysiwg, what you sell on ebay? i need some 2 AWG terminals!
