well i sold the rf i needed the money for school so i picked this one up for 345(shipped) on ebay. so i looked in the manual and there was nothing on it so i was wonder what size of fuse i nedded to run. thanks guys
orion says 300 amp.
but fuse for the wire..not the amp. i run dual 125 amp fuses becuase i split form 1/0 to dual 4 awg for the amp
so it goes..
300amp........1/0awg.....dual125amp.....dual 4awg
if you can picture that, lol.

300 amps from 1 amp...WOW!
I sure hope that you have the alternator/batteries to keep that brute from clipping and destroying your subs. My best friend ran a PPI 2350 (200amp draw) and fried the coils in one of his strokers with clipped power (he should have only been putting 700 watts to each 15, which normally wouldn't even heat up a stroker). Lemme tell you, fried strokers don't smell very good...
she can hand it with no problem 200 amp ho alt dual battiers. this looks like a nice amp i can t wait to use it
i highly doubt you'll ever see 300 amps of current draw unless you have a direct short to ground, lol.
the fuse is for the wire...1/0 wire, you fuse with 250-300amp fuse.

sould i fuse the 0 gauge as well?
ok forget i got it thanks
if you run it at .5 ohms I'd say youd get close to that 300 amps.

at 12volts...that'd be 3600watts. i doubt you'll see that kind of power from a 2500d

dont be so sure. Ive talked to a couple people who have tested them that low and have gotten close to that. not at 12 volts more around 14.6-14.8
musically speaking of course.
if your voltage stays at 14.8 while you drive down the road, then you are god, lol

I agree with wysiwyg. A 2500d playing tones at .5 ohms....14.8 constant volts is doubtful, very doubtful.
1/2ohm isn't a problem for it.

i've even heard that the 2500D enjoys .25 ohm, but i am never gonna do that, even with the cadence block.
.5 ohm shouldn't be a problem. I just think that maintaining 14.8v is unlikely, even with a 200amp alt and 2 batteries.
I'm gonna be running two at .5 ohms

Unfortunately right now their at 1 ohm because I need to get my wall rebuilt first, I think I found the absolute worst shop in Houston to do my install.
I had a 260 amp alt and two yellow tops and for short periods of time I could maintain 14s. Not for very long. lol but it could.
