Classic problem, i know u guys know the answer, its an easy question, Why when i turn up my volume the lights dim. How do I correct this besides turning the volume down?
Do the big three (search on it) for starters. If that doesn't help, add a yellowtop battery, and possibly a higher-output alternator.

its stock, which is the scary thing
No way your lights should dim in and out with a stock system. If it really is, you need someone to check out your car.

mine does it too. I plan on getting a better alternator and battery and heavy duty wiring..of course this is in prep for a real system.lol.
yeah my lighs dim also, in fact, I distinctly remember that all of the numbers on my radio used to light up, and they slowly went out one by one, and none of them light up anymore. I have 6" x 9" Sony Xplod's in the back (260w peak, 80w continous) and Pioneer 4" x 6" up front (100w). I guess I should buy a new battery for it then.

Hey Clint
why not install a 8-10 buck Voltmeter somewhere then you could see what the voltage was doing all the time. Wire it in to come on with ignition on and off with the key out.
Just a suggestion

do that clint it WILL FIX your problem
buzz it might be your keyless or the factory amp
most stock cars lights dim...if not from the stereo, from something like the blower for the heat kicking on.

Its only the lights on the stereo that dim, that I can notice anyways, and its only when the speakers hit hard, but if I turn down the bass and mess with the other settings, they don't do it, thats why I was thinking it was the speakers, because it never did it with the factory ones.

how bout this one............. i just noticed this while drivbing back from JAX, but if i turn my dimmer all the way down, then my cluster will look like it slightly fades ina and out.... kinda wierd, even when i take the fuse out for my amp, have my radio shut off, and the XM disconnectred.....
NE1 else.....
Cavi sedan ls (justin u) <----- i figured it was the amp, since i don't have keyless...
