wasnt sure where to post this, and i used the search but to no avail. heres my problem. i have the keylessentry w/trunk lid. when i press the trunk release button, the trunk release does it more than once, making a machine gun sound. the lid opens but the electronic lid keeps doin it for 2-3 seconds more. any tips, or explanation on this is much appreciated

Having a Z is close enough to having an import.....

Sounds like possibly a sticking solenoid.

your remote might send multiple presses as long as the button is pressed or help down, have you tried a new battery in the remote? Most of the systems I've seen will only hit once for each press, some cheap ones may just spam a series of hits to make sure the trunk opens. Do you have the system setup correctly? some may use a negative system (remote on the NEG side of the line) instead of on the POS
