Question

I recently purchased an optima battery since my other one crapped out. Any who I have had the optima battery for about 4 weeks now, and I just recently hooked up my audio system back up to it (1 week ago). A couple of days ago, I could smell an electrical type smell. I open the hood up this morning and saw that my power cable for the amp is starting to have the blueish powder residue. I know thats corrosion, could this be the source of the smell? I'm going to run home today after work and remove the cable, to see if the smell pursists. What would you recommend me do to the power cable.

Thanks,
Josh

This is a shot in the dark, but try cleaning the cable + connection in some baking soda, then buying some of that anti-corrosion spray to apply after it's all installed... might be a bigger problem though, I don't know.

maybe its a bad circuit.....I'm just takin a guess, but maybe u have a bad connection to the battery or a bad ground running through that circuit.
