If I wire a single 2 OHM subwoofer to a 2 channel amp, but wire it bridged will that put a 2ohm load on the amp, or will bridging bring it down to a 1ohm load??

If it's a single 2 ohm voice coil, it'll be a 2 ohm mono load. If it's dual 4 voice coils, you can run 2 ohm or 8 ohm. If it's dual 2 ohm voice coils, you can run it 1 ohm or 4 ohm. Make sure your amp can handle a 2 ohm mono load, most 2 channel amps can do a 4 ohm mono load.

Beat it like it owes you money

i guess i should have specified earlier--it's 2 OHM DUAL VOICE COIL. So if I wire the voice coils in series and bridge it to the amp, that'll put a 4ohm load on the amp or 2 ohm?

4 ohms. If you need help wiring it, check out JL's web site, it has nice pretty diagrams that help. If you wired them in parallel it would be 1 ohm, which would be bad. (At least for most amps.)
