I need to decide which amp is better for my subs I am buying.
Dual 12" Audiobahn ABP12T
* 800W RMS Power Handling
* 1600W Max Power Handling
* 2 Ohm Mono / 4 Ohm Stereo Operation
* Sensitivity: 103dB
* 2" 4-Layer ASV Voice Coils
* Frequency Response: 25Hz - 140Hz
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The two amps I am looking at for them are these...which one do you think would be best:
Audiobahn A8002T or Audiobahn A12005DN
The A12005DN is going to put out more power (600 watts) at two ohms, which you can wire youre speakers at, so that would be better. If those were my choices that is.
Personally if i were looking for 600 watts i'd go with an orion 600d (about $220 on ebay), and probably 2 jl audio 10w3v2 D4's and run the voice coils in parallel, and then the speakers in paralell, to get a 1 ohm load (you can find the speakers for $300-ish). I'd also build my own box. For $650-ish (after install costs etc) that'd be a pretty damn nice system.
Oh, by the way, i happen to have a box for 2 jl 10w3v2's.. if you're interested

I would recommend not using an Audiobahn amplifier. If you do, use the A12005Dn because it is a class D amp made to power subs. The fan is very loud on the intake series amp and because it is a 2-channel amp your going to lose a lot of power. I ur intrested I have an Orion 600D that would power those JL's....
Hey man, this could be a great deal for you. Jard's 600d, i forgot, i also have one of my JL 10w3v2's, and the box. All you'd need to do would be get one more jl, and sound wire to install it. Sounds like a sweet deal to me.
The subs you're getting are dual 4 ohm, which means you can run them 1 ohm, 4 ohm, or 16 ohm.
Beat it like it owes you money
I ended up going with the subs and Class D amp...got it today and should have it hooked up soon
