I oopsed on my multi meter so I cannot check for myslef...

Is the cig lighter 12v? Or does it go 12.5-15 as the rest of the cars power?

I ask cuz I have verious things (neons, radar detecor, CB Radio) that are meant to be plugged into the cig ligher, but I have them hard wired.

At high idle I read 14.9 volts.

I jsut wasnt sure if there was a voltage regulator in there, to provid a steady 12 volt (12 volt max) output.

i have all my stuff (neons, radar detector) hard wired off the cig and it all works fine, if its made for 12v u can hardwire it in, theres no diff btwn hardwiring and pluggin it into the lighter other than tha fact that if its hard then its not goin anywhere, and imo looks much much better
