Of all the electronics in the car

So I have this Cavalier, and I have some work done to it, miles of wires and lots of stereo equipment. I've been waiting for the thing to melt down or blow up. Maybe even start on fire, but of the 2 problems I've had, what has happened?

Twice now, my battery has died. Twice now I had to get jumped. I have done all of my own work on the stereo, building the box, and completely wireing the amps, subs, all 4 other channels, plus my fronts and Video equipment.

Well, what have both of my dead batteries been caused by? The first was a faulty switch in the glove box causing my glove box light to be on at all times....little problem till I let the car sit for a couple days. Then dead battery, I was planning on changing it to a LED so It couldn't cause to much trouble....but never got around to it....

And my second dead battery, that stupid light in the trunk on the mercury switch.....The switch broke causeing the light to stay on and kill my battery....again...

I have been turning off the interior light for the last year, even when the doors open the light stays off......

Any other of those automatic lights I should look for?

It may seem kindof silly, but I find it funny that those two things have been the cause of my battery problems....

Sorry to waste your time.
THanks for reading.

i would purchase a gell cell battery like from optima or many other companies, so if a light does ever get left on and your battery drains, you can just throw a charger on it and recharge it instead of running out to buy a new one.

If they're lights you don't really need just pull the bulbs so they can't come on.

I just ran the car for a while and all is good once I got her started. I'm currently running a red top. As for the lights, the glove box and the Trunk light have now been pulled. Are there any others?

I dont think the head lights will come on and off on there own....lol, If I leave them on though....1= I deserve it and 2. I would be deaf....cause the car still buzzes when the lights are on...
