electrical problems..

My first problem lies with my ebrake light.....it doesnt make sence at all but my ebrake works fine with my drl's so they come on when the ebrake is released and trun off when it is on but the ebrake light in my cluster always stays on. What would cause this...it started doing it the day i took my interior out and put it back in.....ive checked all the wires and everything seems ok..maybe a bad ebarke assembly??? thats my best guess..The next thing is my alternator light and driving.....i prchased a new alternator and now whenever i get to about 5000rpm my lights start to flicker real bad and then at about 5800rpm or so the alt light comes on..has anyone hd this problem before??what could it be? I took the car into the place that built the alt and they checked it and it was makng tons of power at high rpm.....it was 120amps or so out of a stocker!.....please help these things are killing me..phil

Low on brake fluid?

That light is more than just the e-brake... it's pretty much anything to do with the brake system. The only way to know for sure is to get the codes scanned to see what the car thinks is wrong, then get that condition corrected.

Did you ground the signal wire to the ebrake?

I did that once, and had the same problem.
