if i was going to get this XmDirect and go to gm to get the stock xm antenna and not use the one that comes with this kit would it work? or do i have to stay with the one that comes with the kit?

If the plugs are the same... give 'er.. usually the plugs are different beween aftermarket and stock.

I just don't like to looks of the antenna in that pack. best buy said they might make some sort of harness for it.
