Had a guy ask me to install them in his car and they just sounded like sh*t no matter how hard i tweek it. Honestly they are comprable to jensen. nough said.

i will probly get flamed for this but i have 2 volfenhag 12s and i like them. ive been metered at 137db with them. havent had any problems since i got them. i also got the 6 1/2" speakers, the 4" speakers and teh 3 1/2" speakers all volfenhag. not sure about their amps thought.

people with kickers and JL were scoring lower spending 300 on each sub .. haha

that doesnt mean they are better then kicker or jl. it just means the kids at that show didnt have them running properly.
my image dynamics hit over 138 with 500 watts total and their 10's and sq subs. the werent made for spl. but they will sound good at level as well.
wolvenhag are bottom of the barell equipment, not trying to down on anyone that owns a pair but as far as an all around quality they are low rung stuff. buddy of mine is a dealer and he can get a 12" from them for around 12$

What amp do you have pushing your subs?
for pure spl there is far better options than JL

You 2 probably haven't heard decent subs. ... lol. 2 Flame Compression Audiobahns can hit 150db, but the audio qaulity is @!#$astic. Response and qaulity is non existent. I had 2 Jensen's going for me a few years back, they were loud, but sounded like @!#$.
My 2 Clif Design 10inch CDAW10's are only pumping 100w @ 4ohms right now and hit 132db with ease. Considering these guys can take 500rms each.... They sound clean, and are extremely responsive. and dynamic.

my subs sound good to me. and i heard a lot of other subs.. They are clean sounding. I heard better but not anywhere near the price.
Also ive had them for 2 years.
Fast05 - the amp is a soundstorm ( another @!#$ amp as people would say)
Not to mislead people here, these subs arent the best.. but for the price i think they are very good subs.

MY Clif's cost around 65 $ each, They both came with a 1 Year Warrenty, Award Winning Sound Qaulity, Dual Voice Coils.......Double Stacked MAgs...Ya they are no Type X or w7....... but I am sure they will out perform those Volfenhag subs in every category. (By a good amount as well)

i guess ill get in on this. i can vouch for dribnus on this, i was at the show when he hit the 137 with those subs, BUT i never got a good listen to see how sound quality was, but i will say i have heard a TON of systems and as far as SQ goes, im in love with JL's subs. alpine has some nice sounding stuff too. but realy when you apply the "get what u pay for" theory here, it kinda seems like common sense...you expect to say AND convince people that these subs are among the ranks of JL, Kicker, Alpine or any other higher end subs...theres a reason for the popularity of the higher end stuff...QUALTY.. not trying to come off as an ass, i just know what im talking about.. Y'all can come to my place with ur systems and listen to mine as well as a couple others i have done. i promise you wont love your cheap sh!t anymore

Clif Design = Huge in Australia. The subs were as cheap due to the fact I bought them from a liquidator and they were last years models. (came with the 1 Yr warrenty though). They retail for much more, BadCav, I can vouch this for Clif's products They are fantastic, I would even compare mine to any Type R, setup. My installer (A Alpine dealer for years) gave them good praise. Clif's are hard to find, but are worth the find & lower price.

1bad02cav- thanks man, been a long time since someone actually said something nice on here. no they are not ment for SQ. or, i dont have them set up for SQ because i would not stand any chance. i have a huge alternator whine and i cant get rid of it. tried everything short of getting a new 4 channel amp.

yeah man, your car did awesome at that show down there as far as spl goes, but i still love my system as far as SQ goes, and i installed a lot of different stuff, and have heard TONS of different things, but what it realy comes down to is you get what u pay for as far as im concerned...if set up RIGHT your not gunna buy cheap crap and sound like expensive stuff period

I plug em into wall sockets three movemets. Thats three pushes out is all I got. And it was thrashed. Ive done this to lots of speakers in my time.
IF you think they sound good, good for you. try this now. Get an ampo that matches their rms rating and see how they sound and how they last. an amp with real wattage.
