To fix this do i run a wire from the battery to the Power wire on the deck? Or a power wire to my wire harness?

Yes its shuts off all together. I KNOW its just cuz the alpine headunit is taking to much power for the wire harness it was discussed on here berfore. Just dont know what wire to tap into the harness or the main power to the deck. Leaving the Harness power wire oing to nothing.
Do the lights on the face of the deck dim or flicker if you have the volume turned up like around 18-19?

Tap into your fuse box on the driver side. The wiper fuse is a good ACC spot and the cig lighter fuse is a good constant.
uh yeah. i have an alpine 9833 and one of the power wires is from the harness but you also need a fused line either to your battery with a switch on it or some sort of switched source. even a relay.

My Alpine 9815 has it's own 16ga fused constant right to the battery. Might as well do it right if you're going to bother doing it at all.
