i checked all my connections and they were good....now im running 2 kicker comp vrs, hifonics bx1500, 1 farad cap, 4 guage wiring kit, fuse coming out of my battery and a fuse goin to my cap, none of them are broke.
heres the story, i was testing songs on how deep they will hit and then all of a sudden i lost all my power to my amp, now sometimes i will get a lil power but not enough to run the subs. so im gonna try and charge the cap to see if thats the problem but the question is, what else could it be?
Does your car start

Almost sounds like an alternator issue.

Did you check you ground connections? What do you mean by "sometimes I will get a lil power"?
Maybe your voltage dipped too low, and sent the amp into protect mode...

"If life throws you a curve, pop the clutch and drift it!"
its not in protect bc there is a light for that and it isnt.. and yes my car starts.
when i start my car, my amp will light up but not like it always does.
i checked every connection except for the out of the rca out of my headunit and the remote....please help im lost
Check the two you haven't checked.

The system has arrived.
Just for kicks, try running a new ground, maybe to a different point. I had a friend of mine who's amp suddenly did the same thing. It would turn on, but the second you tried to turn up the volume, it'd kick off. After trying a new amp, we discovered that the grounding point had become a little loose and was causing the problem.
okay ill try that
could i ground my capacitor and my amp to the same spot
